Alderman Mike Saville voted to approve the Aurora Arts Center development (which opened in 2019), when that was brought up at City Council. This $35 million development has been a major piece of our Downtown Economic and Cultural puzzle that will benefit our community for generations. It has a restaurant, artists lofts, practice space for the Broadway series actors (which now frees up the Copley Theater for shows), and a school that can host over 2,200 students.
And Mike supports The Paramount and has also supported the renovation of the Copley Theater and the new Stolp Island Theater. As Alderman Mike Saville said, “Aurora is a “Happening City”!!! Mike also, has proposed adding more diversity by adopting an ACCA Advisory Board and expanding the Illinois Civic Center Authority ACCA legislation to increase the current 9 board members.
